SUMMARY OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE STATISTICS AGENCY FOR 2025

On January 13, an expanded meeting of the board was held at the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to summarize the results of the activities of statistical bodies for 2025 and to outline tasks for 2026. The meeting was attended by the Agency’s management, heads of the Agency’s main departments in the regions and the city of Dushanbe, heads of statistical bodies of all cities and districts of the republic, as well as departments, divisions and sections of the Central Office and the State Institution “Main Computing Center” of the Agency.

During the meeting, the results of the activities of statistical bodies for 2025 were analyzed and discussed. A report on this issue was delivered by the First Deputy Director of the Statistics Agency, Aso Nurullo Asvat.

It was noted that the statistical bodies carried out their activities in accordance with the “Program of Statistical Works for 2025” and fully fulfilled the tasks assigned to them.

During this period, 8563 statistical works were completed in a timely manner, which confirms the full implementation of the Program of Statistical Works.

At the same time, the First Deputy Director of the Agency reported that throughout 2025, a total of 3787 monthly reports on the socio-economic situation of the republic, sectoral statistical collections, and bulletins were submitted to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, ministries and agencies, and other users of statistical data.

In addition, in accordance with the Program of Statistical Works for 2025, statistical surveys in all areas of the program were conducted within the established timeframes.

It was emphasized that as part of the transition to the digital economy, the Statistics Agency fully implemented an electronic system for the collection and processing of 231 statistical reporting forms, including 131 state statistical reporting forms and 100 interagency reporting forms. Currently, work is ongoing to integrate data with ministries and agencies.

During the meeting, reports from the heads of statistical bodies in the regions, cities and districts were heard. Based on these reports, the Agency’s management provided useful instructions and recommendations aimed at further improving the level and quality of activities.

The meeting also addressed various issues related to ensuring high-quality statistical work, the timeliness and accuracy of statistical data characterizing all socio-economic sectors, and compliance with the current methodology for the formation of official statistics.

The Director of the Statistics Agency, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, issued strict instructions to the heads of local statistical bodies regarding comprehensive coverage of reporting entities, correct collection of indicators across all sectors—especially agriculture and industry—in accordance with the established methodology, complete elimination of data distortion, proper inclusion of crop production, including potatoes, in statistical reports, as well as ensuring the implementation of instructions outlined in the Address of the Leader of the Nation, laws, resolutions and other relevant directives of the Government of the republic, and other related matters.
