THE PROJECT OF «MODERNIZING THE NATIONAL STATISTICAL SYSTEM IN TAJIKISTAN»

According to the degree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan #585 from the November 27, 2019 approved National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) for the period 2021-2030. 

May 28, 2021 the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors approved $10 million in grant financing from the International Development Association for the Modernizing the National Statistical System Project in Tajikistan.

June 25, 2021 by the order President of the Republic of Tajikistan was approved project of the financing Agreement for the  Project of «Modernizing the National Statistical System in Tajikistan» between the Republic of Tajikistan and the International Development Association.

June 30, 2021 by the resolution of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli the Financing Agreement of the Modernizing the National Statistical System Project in Tajikistan was ratified.

November 18, 2021 the effectiveness of the Modernizing the National Statistical System Project in Tajikistan has started.

The Modernizing the National Statistical System project will be implemented by the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The objective of this project is to enable the Agency on Statistics to modernize statistical production, dissemination, and improve user engagement

Modernizing the National Statistical System Project in Tajikistan will support to implement the basic action plan of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) for the period 2021-2030

Component 1: Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of AS and Improving ICT Infrastructure
