THE CONSTITUTION — THE NATION’S CHARTER OF HAPPINESS AND A SYMBOL OF STATE INDEPENDENCE

As part of the events dedicated to the достойному celebration of Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, and in accordance with the joint action plan of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Ismoili Somoni District and the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a scientific and theoretical conference entitled “The Constitution — The Nation’s Charter of Happiness and a Symbol of State Independence” was held.

The conference was attended by Zarina Nazarzoda, Deputy Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan; Ubaydullo Qurbonzoda, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Ismoili Somoni District; Siyovush Nabotzoda, Member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan; Nekruy Zabirzoda, Head of the Department for State Protection of the Rights of Consumers of Financial Services and Entrepreneurs of the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tajikistan; chairpersons and deputy chairpersons of party organizations; representatives of the “Sozandagoni Vatan” Youth Public Organization in the district; and party members.

The conference was opened by Zarina Nazarzoda, Deputy Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, who conveyed to the participants the congratulatory message of the Director of the Agency on the occasion of Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the speech, it was noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, as the supreme legal document of the country, plays an important role in strengthening the foundations of national statehood, ensuring the rule of law, protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, and promoting the sustainable development of society. It was emphasized that respect for and compliance with constitutional provisions constitute one of the most important duties of every citizen and provide a solid foundation for safeguarding state independence, ensuring peace and stability, and strengthening national unity.

Continuing the event, Ubaydullo Qurbonzoda, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in the Ismoili Somoni District, and Siyovush Nabotzoda, Member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered speeches on the historical and political significance of the Constitution, its role in the development of national statehood, and the strengthening of democratic values.

Furthermore, Nekruy Zabirzoda, Head of the Department for State Protection of the Rights of Consumers of Financial Services and Entrepreneurs of the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner in the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered a speech on issues relating to the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, the rule of law, and the significance of constitutional provisions in society.

During the conference, participants delivered speeches and exchanged views on the historical and political significance of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, its role in strengthening the foundations of national statehood, protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, ensuring the rule of law, and strengthening state independence and national unity.

It was noted that the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan constitutes a solid foundation for the development of national statehood, ensuring stability and public tranquillity, and promoting social progress. Respect for and compliance with its provisions constitute a sacred duty of every citizen of the country.

Following the event, a number of activists were awarded Certificates of Appreciation of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in recognition of their valuable contributions to the implementation of the party’s statutory and programmatic objectives, as well as their active participation in public and political activities.
