Significant growth in flour production: 134.8 percent in the first quarter

In the first quarter of the current year, the volume of flour production in the Republic of Tajikistan reached 219,251.9 tons, accounting for 134.8 percent compared to the same period last year. This indicator reflects a significant increase in production in the grain processing sector and is one of the key factors in ensuring the country’s food security.

It should be noted that the flour milling industry, as an important part of the food industry, plays a crucial role in supplying the domestic market with essential food products. The increase in production volumes contributes to reducing dependence on imports of flour products and enhances the country’s level of self-sufficiency.
