Number of pensioners reached 838.9 thousand

In January–March 2026, the total amount of pension and benefit payments in the Republic of Tajikistan, financed through the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Savings Bank “Amonatbank,” amounted to 1.2113 billion somoni. This figure is 101.5 million somoni higher compared to the same period last year, representing a growth rate of 106.9 percent.

As of April 1, 2026, the total number of pensioners in the country reached 838,850, highlighting the social importance of the pension system in ensuring social protection for the population.

An analysis by payment channels shows that 1.1016 billion somoni of the total amount was disbursed through “Amonatbank,” accounting for 101.9 percent compared to the same period last year.

Overall, the current indicators demonstrate the stability of the pension payment system and a gradual improvement in the level of social protection. The increase in funding volumes and the broad coverage of pensioners indicate the effective implementation of state social policy aimed at supporting vulnerable groups of the population.
