MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING SIGNED BETWEEN THE STATISTICAL AGENCIES OF TAJIKISTAN AND AZERBAIJAN

On September 26, 2025, within the framework of the International Forum titled “Priorities of Statistical Development: The Role of International Projects” and the 73rd Session of the Council of Heads of Statistical Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of cooperation and statistical development of the two countries.

It was stated that within the framework of this MoU, a partnership will be established between the two statistical agencies aimed at promoting the statistical sector by providing accurate and reliable data to support the socio-economic development of both countries. The goal is to achieve deeper and mutually beneficial cooperation for comprehensive development.

It was also reported that in the future, both sides will support each other in enhancing experience and improving the qualifications of personnel in the field of statistics. This includes conducting joint seminars and training sessions to improve the professional skills of staff involved in the development and implementation of future plans.
