MEAT PRODUCTION IN TAJIKISTAN INCREASED BY 14.7%

From January to September 2026, a total of 227,932 tonnes of meat from cattle and small ruminants (live weight) was produced across all categories of farms in the Republic of Tajikistan. This figure represents an increase of 14.7% compared with the same period last year.

According to statistical data, meat production from cattle and small ruminants showed a positive growth trend across the country’s regions. In particular, compared with the same period last year, production increased by 26.1% in Sughd Region, 13.7% in Khatlon Region, 4.6% in the districts under republican subordination, and 1.4% in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

At the same time, poultry production also recorded growth. During the reporting period, total poultry meat production across all categories of farms reached 36,314 tonnes, an increase of 5.9% compared with the same period last year.

By region, poultry meat production amounted to 16,984 tonnes in Sughd Region, 8,819 tonnes in Khatlon Region, 10,439 tonnes in the cities and districts under republican subordination, and 72 tonnes in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
