JAMSHED NURMAHMADZODA PARTICIPATES IN THE 76TH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF HEADS OF STATISTICAL BODIES OF THE CIS MEMBER STATES

On 1 October 2026, in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, within the framework of the International Forum entitled “New Methods and Technologies in Statistics”, the 76th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Bodies of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held.

The meeting was attended by Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the heads of the statistical bodies of the CIS member states discussed issues related to the development of statistical cooperation, improvement of methodology, and coordination of the activities of the statistical bodies of the member states.

At the same time, the heads of the statistical bodies of the CIS member states discussed issues related to the development of statistical cooperation, improvement of methodology, and coordination of the activities of the statistical bodies of the member states. In particular, the participants considered the progress in implementing the “Development of CIS Statistics” project, the issue of ensuring the international comparability of indicators based on purchasing power parity in the CIS region, the development of the System of National Accounts (SNA), the CIS Statistical Work Programme for 2027, issues related to professional responsibilities in the field of statistics, as well as the holding of the 77th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Bodies of the CIS Member States.

During the consideration of the agenda items, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda presented the views and proposals of the Tajik side on important areas of statistical cooperation. These proposals are aimed at expanding cooperation among statistical bodies, exchanging professional experience, and improving mechanisms for cooperation among the CIS member states.

Tajikistan’s participation in the meeting is important for continuing fruitful cooperation with the statistical bodies of the CIS member states, exchanging professional experience, and coordinating methodological approaches in the field of statistics.
