As of April 1, 2026, a total of 556.5 hectares of new orchards were established in collective and dehkan farms, which is 3.5 times higher compared to the same period last year. Of the total area, 255.0 hectares are pome fruits, 189.0 hectares stone fruits, 78.9 hectares nut crops, 1.4 hectares subtropical fruits, and 32.5 hectares berries.
It is noteworthy that 336.5 hectares of the newly established orchards are located on rainfed lands, indicating improved utilization of low-yield lands and their integration into agricultural use.
During the reporting period, 27.1 hectares of new vineyards were also established, part of which are located on rainfed lands. In addition, 770.3 hectares of orchards and 72.1 hectares of vineyards were rehabilitated, contributing to improved agronomic conditions of existing plantations.
Overall, the achieved results demonstrate a positive trend in the development of horticulture and viticulture in the country, contributing significantly to supplying the domestic market with high-quality agricultural products and strengthening food security.
