THE AGENCY ON STATISTICS HELD A CEREMONIAL MEETING DEDICATED TO THE 34TH ANNIVERSARY OF STATE INDEPENDENCE

Independence is a symbol of a nation’s happiness and its national state’s identity, a sign of its stability and survival. Every year, the proud citizens of our country celebrate the holiday of national and state independence with joy, enthusiasm, and significant achievements.

In this regard, on September 4, the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by the leadership and staff of the Agency on Statistics, as well as the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Economic Issues — Hikmatullozoda Nematullo, the First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan — Nematzoda Maliksho, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan — Chorshanbezoda Suraj, and the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party in the I. Somoni district — Qurbonzoda Ubaidullo.

In his congratulatory speech, the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, described state independence as the greatest and most valuable blessing in the modern history of the ancient Tajik nation. He congratulated the guests and attendees on the 34th anniversary of this major national achievement.

The Director of the Agency characterized the era of independence as a time of patriotic efforts and constructive labor by the people aimed at preserving the independence and freedom of Tajikistan, ensuring the progress of the state, and the prosperity of the nation. He emphasized that the achievement of peace and stability, political stability, and national unity — as well as the salvation of the Tajik state from collapse and the preservation of the nation from disintegration — are among the greatest historical achievements of the independence era. These accomplishments were made possible through tireless work, patriotism, and, overall, the wise leadership of the respected Leader of the Nation.

It was also emphasized that today, thanks to independence and the wise policies of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, our beloved Tajikistan has achieved great success in all sectors.

Alongside other sectors, national statistics has also been achieving significant results year after year.

Then, the floor was given to the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Economic Issues — Hikmatullozoda Ne’matullo — to present state awards.

In his speech, Hikmatullozoda Nematullo stated that it was precisely due to the efforts and care of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, that this invaluable blessing — independence — was achieved and must be cherished. He further noted that during the years of independence, substantial efforts have been made by the national statistical authorities to develop key sectors of the country that are closely connected to the collection and analysis of accurate statistical information. The awarding of state honors to several staff members of the Agency on Statistics reflects the Head of State’s attention to the national statistical system and recognition of the hard work and efforts of the leadership of this institution — particularly in advancing the sector, offering insightful analyses, implementing reforms, and contributing to the development of the national economy.

Following this, in a ceremonial atmosphere, the Assistant to the President, Hikmatullozoda Nematullo, presented state awards to the employees of the statistical bodies in accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Tajikistan “On awarding workers in the fields of science and culture, health care, production and services, executive authorities, other civil servants, and entrepreneurs.”

Next, the First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan — Nematzoda Maliksho — noted in his speech that thanks to state independence, Tajikistan has made significant progress in state-building and national development. He highlighted the vital and historic role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon — in strengthening the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Independence gave the people the right to participate independently in the process of state-building and to resolve all difficulties. Fortunately, under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, these challenges have been overcome, and the Tajik people have achieved their thousand-year dream.

In a festive setting, Nematzoda Maliksho presented medals and certificates of appreciation from the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan to the leadership and staff of the Agency on Statistics.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports Affairs also congratulated the audience on behalf of the Committee’s leadership and staff on the occasion of State Independence and presented letters of appreciation to a number of the Agency’s active young employees.

In conclusion, the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, awarded the First Deputy, the Deputy Directors, and the Agency’s active staff with honorary certificates and letters of appreciation for their valuable contributions to the development of state statistics.

The Director of the Agency expressed confidence that, in the future, employees of the statistical sector will continue to work faithfully and diligently for the sustainable development of the country.
