Tajikistan Delegation Participates in the International Forum on Statistical Development Priorities in Baku city Azerbaijan

On September 24, 2025, the International Forum titled “Statistical Development Priorities: The Role of International Projects” commenced in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. The delegation of Tajikistan, led by the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, is taking part in the event.

The forum is organized by the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and is held annually in one of the CIS member states. It brings together international experts and specialists from national statistical offices to discuss key statistical issues.

The forum will continue until September 26, with the Tajikistan delegation delivering presentations on various statistical topics.

Additionally, the 73rd meeting of the Council of Heads of National Statistical Agencies of the CIS member states is scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the forum.

Furthermore, during the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Agency on Statistics under the President of Tajikistan and the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following the signing of the memorandum, cooperation between the statistical agencies of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan is expected to expand in areas such as data exchange, training, and experience sharing.
