Report on the Socio-Economic Situation of the Republic of Tajikistan for January–May 2025

The report “On the Socio-Economic Situation of the Republic of Tajikistan” provides an analysis based on preliminary data, covering the real sector, tax and budget, financial, external, and social sectors, as well as a brief overview of CIS countries. Until January 2019, the report was compiled based on the Classification of Economic Activities (version 1). Starting from January 2019, sectoral statistics have been formed according to the updated version of the classification — version 2 — which is aligned with international standard classifications (see methodological notes).

In accordance with the 2025 Statistical Work Program, approved by Resolution No. 687 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 26, 2024, GDP will be published quarterly, 90 days after the end of the reporting period.

The main source of information for the report consists of official data obtained by the statistical authorities from enterprises, institutions, organizations, and households through complete enumeration, sample surveys, and other forms of statistical observation. Additional data are drawn from ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan and are calculated using a harmonized methodology that ensures international comparability.

The report is intended for government bodies, international organizations, statisticians, economists, researchers, and professionals interested in statistical information on the development of the Republic of Tajikistan.
