Participation of the Tajikistan Delegation in a Training Seminar for Statistical Specialists in Ankara, Turkey

Today, a training seminar on the topic “Agricultural Statistics” commenced in Ankara, Turkey, with the participation of senior officials of the statistical authorities of Tajikistan and Turkey, as well as statistical specialists from both countries.

The seminar is organized at the initiative of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and is scheduled to take place from 26 to 30 January of the current year.

The seminar was opened by the President of the Turkish Statistical Institute, Erhan Çetinkaya, who emphasized that the seminar is dedicated to issues of agricultural statistics, including the application of modern methods in the collection, processing, and dissemination of agricultural statistical indicators. Erhan Çetinkaya wished the participants success and described the seminar as an important step toward strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the continuation of the seminar, the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, also delivered a speech, describing the seminar as an important foundation for strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the statistical authorities of Tajikistan and Turkey. He expressed the readiness of the parties to expand broader cooperation, organize joint sectoral programs, exchange experience, and develop human resources.

It is worth noting that previously, the first round of training seminars with the participation of experts from the statistical authorities of the Republic of Turkey was successfully held at the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, with 30 Agency staff members taking part. As a result of the assessment of activity levels and effective participation, 10 active employees who participated in the first round were selected by the experts who conducted the initial seminar to participate in the next round of training seminars in the city of Ankara.

The seminar will continue until 30 January of the current year.
