REPRESENTATIVES OF THE AGENCY ON STATISTICS PARTICIPATED IN THE FINAL SEMINAR OF THE CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION PROJECT

The final seminar of the project “Creating Enabling Conditions for the National Adaptation Plan Process in Tajikistan” was held at the Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel in Dushanbe. Representatives of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Firdavs Asmatbekzoda and Khurshed Qosimzoda, participated in the event.

During the seminar, representatives of the Agency on Statistics presented information on the Agency’s achievements in establishing and improving the system for collecting, processing and presenting statistical data related to climate change and adaptation to it.

It was noted that the interdepartmental statistical form No. 1-IK “Climate Change” had been developed and approved, and included in the Statistical Work Programme. This form covers 135 indicators and ensures data collection across six main areas, including energy, industry and construction, transport, agriculture, forestry and water resources.

Furthermore, seven packages of information and analytical products, a digital data entry portal and a monitoring dashboard were presented to the participants. These tools contribute to improving the quality of statistical data, strengthening interdepartmental coordination and monitoring climate change adaptation indicators.

The participation of representatives of the Agency on Statistics in the seminar provided a platform for presenting the results achieved and strengthening cooperation between government institutions and development partners in the field of climate change adaptation.
