Turnover of hotel and restaurant services reached 2.4 billion Somoni in the first half of 2026

In January–June 2026, the turnover of public catering services, including hotel and restaurant services, in the Republic of Tajikistan amounted to 2.4307 billion Somoni, representing an increase of 54.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to official statistics, the volume of services provided by this sector in June 2026 alone reached TJS 427.6 million, which was 66.5% higher than in June of the previous year. Compared with May 2026, the turnover of services also increased by 54.9%, further confirming the sector’s positive growth trend.

By region, Dushanbe maintained its leading position, with the turnover of hotel and restaurant services reaching TJS 1.1122 billion during the first six months of the year. This represents a 31.0% increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year and accounts for nearly half of the country’s total turnover. The capital’s leading position is explained by the high concentration of hotels, restaurants, service establishments, and the dynamic development of the tourism sector.

In Khatlon Region, the turnover of services amounted to TJS 724.7 million, an increase of 22.6% compared to the first half of the previous year. In Sughd Region, the turnover reached TJS 480.5 million, recording a growth rate of 8.4%.

In the Districts of Republican Subordination, the volume of services totaled TJS 97.9 million, which is 3.2% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year. In the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), the turnover of services amounted to TJS 15.4 million, representing an increase of 1.5% compared to the previous year.
