Investment in Fixed Capital Increased by 19.2% in Tajikistan

Dushanbe, June 2026. According to official statistics, total investment in fixed capital from all financing sources amounted to TJS 10.8 billion during January–May 2026. In real terms, this represents a 19.2% increase compared with the corresponding period of 2025.

The increase in investment reflects the continued implementation of major infrastructure, industrial and social development projects, as well as sustained positive trends in the country’s investment activity.

The regional distribution of investments was as follows:

• Districts of Republican Subordination – TJS 4.59 billion, accounting for 42.5% of total investment;
• Dushanbe – TJS 3.23 billion (29.9%);
• Sughd Region – TJS 1.55 billion (14.4%);
• Khatlon Region – TJS 1.24 billion (11.5%);
• Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) – TJS 181.3 million, or 1.7%.

The largest share of investment was concentrated in the Districts of Republican Subordination and Dushanbe, which together accounted for 72.4% of total fixed capital investment.

These results indicate continued growth in investment activity and the ongoing implementation of development programmes and projects aimed at strengthening Tajikistan’s economic and social development.
