PRODUCTION OF KEY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS HAS INCREASED

In January–April 2026, the production of several key construction materials in the country increased compared to the same period in 2025.

Cement production reached 1 million 546.1 thousand tons, which is 9.4 percent higher compared to the same period last year.

The production of construction bricks increased to 74.5 million units, which is nearly 1.8 times higher than in the first four months of last year.

The production of construction concrete also increased, reaching 236.7 thousand cubic meters, representing a 29.0 percent increase compared to last year.

In addition, the production of construction reinforcement steel reached 6 million 503.3 thousand tons, which is 9.7 percent higher compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

The increase in the production of these products indicates that the construction sector in the country is continuing to develop.
