MEETING OF JAMSHED NURMAHMADZODA WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF JAPAN’S STATISTICAL AUTHORITIES

Today in New York City, on the sidelines of the 57th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, a meeting took place between the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Director General for International Statistical Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the initiation of bilateral cooperation between the statistical authorities of Tajikistan and Japan, the exchange of experience in the collection, analysis, and dissemination of statistical data, training opportunities for specialists, and other mutually beneficial issues.

The sides agreed that, in accordance with established procedures, they would sign a memorandum on bilateral cooperation in order to formalize their collaboration.

It is also worth noting that during this visit, meetings of the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan with the heads of statistical authorities of other countries and representatives of international organizations are also planned.
