SIGNING OF A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE STATISTICAL AUTHORITIES OF TAJIKISTAN AND MALAYSIA

On March 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the 57th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, which is being held from March 3–6 in New York City, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the statistical authorities of Tajikistan and Malaysia on cooperation and the development of statistics in the two countries.

This document is aimed at promoting the exchange of information and experience in priority areas of official statistics development, including statistical methodology, standards, and processes.

Within the framework of this cooperation agreement, the parties will also exchange experience in the use of information technologies and new data sources for the production of official statistics, including the digitalization of statistical activities, the application of information technologies in data collection, and the use of big data in statistical research.
