WORLD BANK MISSION BEGINS WORK AT THE AGENCY

Today, the World Bank Mission on supporting the implementation and monitoring of the Project for Modernization of the National Statistical System of Tajikistan began its work at the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The mission is led by Project Manager Alisher Rajabov and World Bank experts.

The event began with a meeting between the Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Nurmuhammadzoda, and the project leadership and World Bank experts. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the implementation process of the project, upcoming tasks, and the mission’s work program.

It is also planned to hold meetings between the Project Implementation Group and specialists from the Agency on Statistics and the Ministry of Finance to discuss matters related to the mission’s work agenda.

As part of the mission’s activities, the project manager and expert team will also familiarize themselves with the operations of local statistical offices to learn more about the modernization process of the national statistical system.

The World Bank Mission will continue until November 14 of this year.
