TOTAL AGRICULTURAL OUTPUT REACHED 58.6 BILLION SOMONI

As a result of the necessary measures and actions taken, the agricultural sector of the country has developed annually. During the first nine months of the current year, the total volume of agricultural production across all categories of farms amounted to 58 billion 680.8 million somoni, which is 8.1 percent higher (in comparable prices) than during the same period last year.
In particular, crop production accounted for 42 billion 777.2 million somoni (an increase of 7.5 percent), and livestock production reached 15 billion 903.6 million somoni (an increase of 9.8 percent).

It should be noted that during this period, the share of Khatlon Region in the total agricultural output of the country was 52.8 percent, with total production amounting to 30.9 billion somoni, or 107.5 percent compared to the previous period.

During this period, the share of public farms in total agricultural production was 13 percent. This indicator was 18.5 percent in Sughd Region, 24 percent in GBAO (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region), 13 percent in Khatlon, and 10.2 percent in cities and districts under republican subordination.

In particular, dehkan (peasant) farms accounted for 39.6 percent of total agricultural production. The share of household farms in total agricultural output was 47.4 percent, including 63.1 percent in GBAO, 37.5 percent in Sughd, 52.1 percent in Khatlon, and 51.1 percent in cities and districts under republican subordination.
