CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY ON STATISTICS UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN JAMSHED NURMAHMADZODA ON THE OCCASION OF WORLD STATISTICS DAY

Dear colleagues,

With a sense of pride and gratitude, I sincerely congratulate all of you on the occasion of World Statistics Day. This day is celebrated annually around the world as a sign of respect for the work of professionals who, through their responsible and tireless efforts, make a valuable contribution to the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of statistical information.

As we all know, in today’s modern world, accurate statistical data and thorough analysis are fundamental to state policy and effective governance. Given the vital importance of this field, the national statistical system of the Republic of Tajikistan, under the wise leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, has steadily developed over the years of independence and achieved significant progress.

Notably, in the years of Independence, major steps have been taken to modernize the national statistical system, introduce advanced methods for data collection and processing, shift to digital technologies, implement electronic reporting, and harmonize indicators with international standards. As a result, the statistical authorities, through the use of modern information technologies and innovative working methods, have elevated data collection, storage, and analysis to a qualitatively new level, fully aligning with global norms.

It can be stated with full confidence that the introduction of an electronic data collection system has contributed to enhancing data reliability, strengthening analytical capacity, and ensuring that government institutions receive accurate and timely statistical information.

Dear colleagues,

Improving the qualifications of specialists in our field has always been a priority for the leadership of the statistical system. Through training courses, seminars, and professional development programs — both domestically and in cooperation with international organizations abroad — we aim to create a solid foundation for the career growth of young professionals in our sector.

It should also be emphasized that the current achievements of the statistical bodies would not have been possible without the sincere dedication, strong sense of public service, and civic responsibility demonstrated by each and every employee. It is precisely your honest work — dear colleagues in statistics — that has ensured the accuracy and timeliness of statistical data.

You, our respected colleagues, diligently contribute to the collection and preparation of statistical data, which serve as the foundation for developing public policies and socio-economic programs in our sovereign nation. Therefore, it can rightfully be said that your work is directed toward the development of our beloved country and the well-being of its proud people.
