JAMSHED NURMAHMADZODA PARTICIPATED IN THE 73RD MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF HEADS OF STATISTICAL AGENCIES OF CIS COUNTRIES

On September 24, in the city of Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the International Forum titled “Priorities of Statistical Development: The Role of International Projects”, the 73rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Agencies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held. Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda, Director of the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated in the event.

In his speech, Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda emphasized the importance of holding this meeting in the context of rapid technological advancement and global digitalization, which plays a vital role in improving the statistical systems of the CIS member states. He stressed that statistical professionals can contribute to the implementation of work plans and programs only through continuous efforts and by providing accurate, reliable, and transparent data.

The Council discussed the following key issues:

• The implementation progress of the “CIS Statistical Development” Project;
• Preparation for the 2030 population census in the CIS region;
• Organization of the 74th meeting of the Heads of Statistical Agencies of the CIS member states.
